Why You Should Own a Gun

Since the lunatic, in Connecticut, killed his mom, then went to the school, where she worked, and murdered 20 children and 4 more adults, I’ve been thinking a lot about all this Gun Control talk. There’s one issue I keep coming back too, and that is the REAL reason that people should own and use a gun.

I know what you’re thinking…there’s many good reasons to own a gun, and you’re right. But I believe there are 2 reasons that our Founding Fathers fought so hard for this Right, and they both deal with protecting our Liberty’s!

The 1st Reason is for us to KILL BAD GUYS that want to do harm to us and/or our family and friends.

The 2nd Reason is for us to KILL Tyrants and Dictators that want to take away our GOD Given Rights and Liberties.

Don’t get me wrong, I like to hunt, and target shoot as much as anybody. But guns are made to kill. They are ‘Killing Machines.’ And Bad Guys, that purposely want to do premeditated harm, whether it be Murder, Rape, or Maim to innocent folks need to be put down, like a rabid varmint!

NO, I’m not kidding. Not even a little bit. What I am is Sick and Tired of these ‘Druggies’ breaking into our homes, raping and murdering whole families, just to steal a couple of hundred bucks to buy their next Fix.

As for Reason #2, the guys working on the Constitution didn’t have to go back in time to remember what it was like to have a Tyrant ruling over them. And they made it very clear that if our govt. started wandering to far away from our Founding Documents, that it was our duty to remove that govt. and replace it with a new one…with whatever means necessary.

So all this talk about new Gun Control Laws, Confiscating our Lawfully owned guns, and all the other Liberal Idiocy that’s floating around can never happen if we all understand our 2nd Amendment Right, and we fight any rebuke and/or attempts to change or get rid of it. It’s up to us. It’s on our shoulders, and we MUST do our part!

Gun Control…Not A Chance!

Now that the ‘Fiscal Cliff’ issue has been kicked down the road a couple of months, you can bet Obama and his Liberal Cronies are gonna start pushing the ‘Gun Control’ propaganda to the limit.
He is gonna try to use the ‘Bully Pulpit’ to push this debate in the Progressive direction. The problem I’ve had, for years, with this ‘Gun Control’ debate is that most of the people doing the talking have a fundamental lack of understanding when it comes to the United States Constitution. Liberals are almost always wrong because of this. The Second Amendment has absolutely nothing to do with hunting and/or target practice (an error the liberals constantly make). It has nothing to do with Home or Personal Defense from criminals (an error conservatives tend to make). It is supposed to be an ever-present threat to a Tyranical Government, so that the Government remains within its Constitutional Limits.

You see, the Constitution of the United States does not “Grant” anyone the right to own a firearm. In fact, it was not written in order to grant rights of any kind to citizens. It was written in order to limit the powers of government. The fundamental belief of the Constitution is that all rights belong to the people. Zero rights or powers naturally belong to the government, and the government has NO authority to grant them.

So, if we start this ‘Gun Control’ debate, with everybody on the same, Constitutional page…then it’s over before it even gets started.

REMEMBER, The right to bear arms is as important in holding the government accountable as is the right to Free Speech and a Free Press. The Founding Fathers clearly believed this, and placed it second only to those things.

Armed citizens who have the capability of taking their GUNS and forming Local Armies (Militias) to force the government to stop its Constitutional violations. This is exactly what they did to the British government when it refused to listen.

LIBERALS vs. Disasters

In this day and time it doesn’t matter the tragedy, the Liberals will find a way to blame ‘Global Climate Change.’ Or they’ll find some Whacko religious leader to connect it to GOD’s wrath, and play him off as some kind of Conservative ‘Nut-Job.’ Liberals are out there, right now, claiming Superstorm Sandy was due to ‘Global Warming,’ and/or GOD’s judgement on the liberals of New York and New Jersey. This coming from the Party that wanted any reference of GOD removed from their platform.

What I do know is that the Liberal democRATS have spent the last 60+ years turning the Northeast Coastal states into something similar to a British Monarchy. The citizens have handed over most of their Liberties and Freedoms to the Kings of the states, all this time becoming Morally and Phiscally Bankrupt. Then when something like ‘Sandy’ happens, the ONLY place they’ve got to turn is to this Completely Corrupt entity, that hasn’t a Clue how to handle a disaster of this Magnitude.

The thing that I’ll never understand is why people continue to elect these Liberal ‘Lightweights’ into positions of leadership in their states, and then when something happens and they don’t have the necessary brain cells to deal with it, they start whining. Liberals say they are FOR the people…but every time THE PEOPLE need their help, you can always find them in front of a microphone blaming everything that’s happening on the Past, Present, and Future Republicans.

If we are ever gonna get our country back on the RIGHT Track we’ve gotta start taking responsibility for ourselves. The idea that the govt. is Santa Claus has gotta end…and it’s gotta end SOON!

A Nationwide Rehab

We found out in this past election that 51% of Americans, including Illegal Alien Voters, are addicted to government goodies and the nanny state…they are addicted to demonizing others, playing the blame game, and the race card.

We all know, with any addict, it’s almost impossible to reason with them. So between now and the next presidential election, we MUST find a candidate that can help these people by walking them thru a nationwide rehab…which will include holding their hand, and helping them to understand the Basic tenets of our Constitution. I truly believe that the problem we Conservatives have is not with our beliefs and ideas, but with how our message is being received. We need to come up with a better way of expressing it.

Our country demographics are changing fast, and this has to be addressed in a way that includes the part of the 51% that still Love America, but doesn’t abandon our Constitutional Conservative beliefs. It’s not gonna be easy, and we have the 2014 midterms to test our ideas. We must stick together if we’re gonna see this thru…and ALWAYS remember, nothing that’s RIGHT is Easy!

Could Texas Successfully Secede?

There’s a lot of people that are asking the question, “If Texas seceded from the Union could they make it on there own?” The answer to that question is ABSOLUTELY YES, and here’s why:

–Resources: Texas currently sits on one-quarter of the nation’s oil reserves and one-third of the nation’s natural gas reserves. Even more, fully 95 percent of the country receives its oil and gas courtesy of pipelines that originate within Texas. This is what one might call leverage.

–The Texas Economy: This is well documented but worth repeating. In the last decade, even with the Great Recession, Texas has expanded by one million jobs. One million. That’s more than every other state … combined. Because of its friendly business climate, Texas is home to more Fortune 500 companies than anywhere else. If Texas were its own country, it would have the tenth-highest GDP in the world. Canada would be number eleven. Or think about it this way: For every dollar Texas taxpayers send to Washington, they currently get only about 80 cents back. Theoretically, they could transfer those funds to the state’s coffers and still give every Texan a 20 percent tax cut.

–Utilities: Texas is the only state with its own power grid. Developed over the course of the last 100 years, the Texas grid covers the majority of the state and is fully state controlled. Translation: Texans could rest assured that the federal government doesn’t have the power — literally — to turn off their lights.

–Defense: While no match for Uncle Sam’s firepower, Texas does have a significant defense presence, namely in the Texas State Guard (which answers only to the governor), the Texas National Guard, the Air Guard and the legendary Texas Rangers. Texas is also home to two of the nation’s largest military bases — Fort Hood and Fort Bliss — and being able to control those two installations is nothing to sniff at. But let’s not forget the firepower of the citizenry itself. There’s a reason burglars don’t waste their time in Texas.

There’s one more thing I want to ‘Put to Bed,’ and that is that Texas signed away its right to secede when it re-entered the Union, after the Civil War. As we all know, the Southern states, before they were allowed back into the Union, had to write language into their State Constitutions surrendering the right of secession. The problem with that is, the Founding Fathers wrote this Right for Individual states to secede into our Constitution. So that means states could just write anti-secessionist language back out of their constitutions if they wanted to!

So, there you go. That should make it clear that Texas CAN Secede, and they would THRIVE if/when they do.

Law Student Divorces Liberals

I saw this on Twitter today and I just had to get it out to y’all. It’s REALLY Good.

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late …1950’s for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course.

Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let’s just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a Our Separation Agreement:

–Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

–We don’t like redistributive taxes so you can keep them.

–You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.

–Since you hate guns and war, we’ll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.

–We’ll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and the coal mines, and you can go with wind, solar and biodiesel.

–You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O’Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them.

–We’ll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street.

–You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless, homeboys, hippies, druggies and illegal aliens.

–We’ll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO’s and rednecks.

–We’ll keep Bill O’Reilly, and Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood .

–You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we’ll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.

–You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we’ll help provide them security.

–We’ll keep our Judeo-Christian values.

–You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N. but we will no longer be paying the bill.

–We’ll keep the SUV’s, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Volt and Leaf you can find.

–You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors.

–We’ll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right.

–We’ll keep “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “The National Anthem.”

–I’m sure you’ll be happy to substitute “Imagine”, “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing”, “Kum Ba Ya” or “We Are the World”.

–We’ll practice trickle-down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot.

–Since it often so offends you, we’ll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Stop Talking About GOD!

Stop talking about GOD.

That is what the “State Run” media in this country want us to do. Oh no, they won’t come right out and say it, well some of them will, but you could be blind and still see it. The tactics used, to accomplish this, are numerous. For example, after an SEC football game, Tim Tebow is being interviewed. When he begins by giving all the Glory to GOD, the interviewer cuts him off with a quick question. Suttle as it may be, it is still there.
Don’t forget the Carrie Prejean incident. There was nothing suttle about that. The MSM tried to ruin her, afterwards, for answering a question. A question asked by a “Left Field Loon”, who didn’t like her answer. DUH!! If you look, you can see this happening everyday. And, it’s only getting worse.
Let’s go back a few years, to when, I believe, things began to change. During WWII, the men went off to war, leaving the wives and mothers of the families at home. A lot of them went to work in the factories that made up the US War Machine. This, I believe, was the start of the erosion of families in America. But, that was only part of it.
For almost 200 years we were taught the history of our country, including our Judeo Christian beliefs, in the classroom. In the early 60’s things began to change. The new slogan was “Do whatever makes you feel good”. Personal Responsibility began to disapear. Along came the “Wild Drugs”. This only made things worse. The family dynamic continued to erode during the Vietnam years. The fathers and husbands that went overseas, did not come back the same men. Relationships began to break down. The divorce rate in America began to climb. During this time, The Supreme Court heard 2 cases, Abington School District v. Schempp & Murray v. Curlett (1963) Arguments for both cases were heard on the 27th and 28th of February, 1963. On the 17th of June, 1963, the Court ruled 8-1 against allowing the reciting of Bible verses and the Lord’s Prayer, in public schools.
Justice Clark wrote at length in his majority opinion about the history and importance of religion in America, but his conclusion was that the Constitution forbids any establishment of religion, that prayer is a form of religion, and that hence state-sponsored or mandated prayer in public schools cannot be allowed. WHAT??? No one was trying to establish a church, in a school. Oh well. This started a wave of cases brought before the Supreme Court, and when the dust settled, any fragment of the Christian religion was banned from public schools. Notice, I only said Christian.
Today, the assault on Christians, and our Faith, is something we deal with daily. Lots of Christians have come to accept this, as the norm. Well it’s not! We MUST teach our children the true history of this great country. To do this, we have to talk about GOD. Our Founding Fathers spoke of GOD often when discussing our laws, schools, structure of govt., and many other things. They would say a prayer at the beginning and end of each congressional session. GOD’s teachings are found in our Founding Documents. So you see, if we are to learn our True History, we can’t stop talking about GOD.
I want to end this by saying, I will NEVER stop taliking about GOD. Nor will my children. And, you MUST NOT either!!!

A lot of us have known for a while that Obama was weak, when it came to the military. What this news has revealed, is that we have an idiot for a Commander in Chief! If the Taliban is not the enemy, who have we been fighting for 8 years? Are we now just gonna hand the country back to them? This is insanity, especially considering how Iran is supporting these monsters?This is not a Flip Flop, this is a full on WAFFLE!

It might even mean ceding some regions of the country to the Taliban…
Obama kept returning to one question for his advisers: Who is our adversary, the official said.
There it is again, Who is the Enemy???
Just where in the heck has he been, for the last ugh…….. Oh ya, 8 YEARS!!! And the part about denouncing violence, I guess he’s gonna have them swear on the Koran. Peacefull religion, my a$$. That doesn’t matter anyway, Mr. Change the World will take them at their word. Does any sane person, really believe that crap? He won’t listen to his Generals. Heck, he won’t even listen to his own speaches from a few months ago. Instead, he wants to back out and hand over parts of the country to these, Sweet, Misunderstood murderers! The one thing he has got right, is that the American people see this as HIS war now. So, to him, it has become all about His Legacy now!

So, rather than eat crow, by admitting he’s prepared to hand over huge swaths of the country to Murdering Thugs, or invest another 40,000 troops, he’s going to create a distinction between the Taliban and Al Qaeda. Does he honestly think we’re that stupid? Does he really think he can save face by claiming he’s focused on “the real enemy” now. Kind of like the campaign rhetoric, where “the good war” in Afghanistan is where our focus should be. Not “the bad war” in Iraq. How long is it gonna be before he decides that not everyone in Al Qaeda is the enemy — or, that Al Qaeda has been defeated. I think that is the reason for all those White House leaks to the press lately, telling us how weak Bin Laden and his minion’s have become.

Obama is just like most any other Democrat, “When the going gets tough, Tuck tail and run”! We’ve all heard it before, If you not in it, to win it, then bring our soldiers home.
In closing, I just want to say, the last 6 weeks have been some of the deadliest for our Brave men and women. I believe there is a reason for that. The TALIBAN watch TV too. They see the indecision in Obama, and because of that they have turned up the heat. They think we are going to tuck tail and run, so they are trying to kill as many of our soldiers as they can. Obama needs to make a decision, and he needs to make it quick.

If he, does indeed decide to pull out, I feel for the soldiers, and their families. Especially the ones that paid the “Ultimate Sacrafice.”
And as for the Afghanis, who will no doubt be subjected to genocide, as were the Vietnamese, when we left them high and dry in the early 70’s.

We should all pray that Obama makes the right decision. And if he doesn’t, we need to pray for those that feel the effects of that wrong decision.

The Sleeping Giant

912 Project March & Rally 2009
Fort Worth, TX

My wife and I, spent last week talking about the upcoming 912 event that took place, in Fort Worth, on 9/12/09. We have 2 elementary school age daughters that would be attending with us, so we took some time to explain to them what the event was for, what we were trying to accomplish, and most of all what they could learn from it.
We woke up Saturday morning to a steady rain. The first thing the girls wanted to know, were we still going. “Should we”, I asked? The oldest one said, “Ya we should, the soldiers have to fight in the rain”. I realised then that I had gotten them to understand that we would be doing our part, to fight for our country.
We showed up at the event at about 11:30 am, about 2 hours early. It was still raining, and would continue all day. The north side of the Convention Center, was already filling up. The crowd would grow to an estimated 20,000+ Patriots.
We really enjoyed a great day, with a bunch of great people. “The Judge” from Fox News was the keynote speaker, and he rocked the house. But, now I would like to get to my point: As we were leaving, my daughter saw a, let’s just say, youngster carrying a sign with the famous “Joker” pic of Obama. She made the comment, “Dad, that’s not nice.” I told her she was spot on, and that in fact we should be thanking the president for waking us up. We discussed it a little more, and I helped her to understand that there were always going to be “Bad Apples” in every crowd.
When we got home ,I just kept thinking about the “Thanking him for waking us up” statement I had made, and how true it was. I sat down and wrote this:
We thank you, Barack Hussein Obama, for your sincerity when you told us you wanted to fundamentally change our country. We weren’t sure how, but now we know!
We thank you, Barack Hussein Obama, for removing any and all responsibility we had for becoming good, law abiding citizens. We can now count on the govt. for giving us quality of life.
We thank you, Barack Hussein Obama, for apologizing to the rest of the world for all of our many sins. I am sure they will all like us now.
We thank you, Barack Hussein Obama, for making our children, and grandchildren responsible for the debt America now has. This is a good lesson in accepting responsibility.
We thank you, Barack Hussein Obama, for stepping up and helping the teachers teach our children, in the classroom.
It is obvious I could go on, there is so much we can thank him for, but I am most thankful for, Barack Hussein Obama, waking a “SLEEPING GIANT”!!!

What is a TRUE Conservative, Today??

Have you ever wondered what it would actually require to be a modern-day Conservative? As I pondered this, I decided to list some things that came to mind.

#1. I MUST believe, with all my Heart, that being Pro-life is the Backbone of the Conservative platform. That includes the fact that LIFE begins at conception.

#2. I have to believe Ronald Wilson Reagan was the greatest President of all time. His economic policies set-up a long period of historical economic growth. His leadership was much needed in our country, at that time. His strength in Foriegn Policy put us in the position of being the World’s ONLY Super Power. We, as a country, needed his moral compass at that time in our history. Plus, let’s not forget the WALL coming down in Eastern Europe.

#3. My Christian values should always be “Front and Center” in my life. That includes helping other Christians, like the poor, elderly, disabled, etc. We, as Christians, need to continue to be the “Shining Light on a Hill” in our homes, communities, and our GREAT Country.

#4. I must continue to do my duty in helping to elect, good moral, Christian, men and women to lead this country in the way in which our Founding Fathers directed us. The Constitution and Declaration of Independence were good enough the first 200 years, they are good enough to guide us the next 200 years.

#5. I must remain vigilant in doing all I can to protect our country from enemies, inside and outside of our borders. That includes, supporting our men and women of the Armed Forces, Police, Fire Fighters, and all other First Responders. We continue to field the Greatest military in the world, because it is made up of the second GREATEST GENERATION EVER!

#6. I must continue to fight for FREE SPEECH, a FREE (not STATE RUN) Press, which includes conservative talk radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, and Glenn Beck. There is a movement forming in our govt. to try to shutdown some of these venues. They must not succeed!

#7. As the saying goes, “If you want my gun, you are going to have to pry it from my cold dead hand”. Enough said!

#8. I will do everything I can to get prayer back into schools. This includes the passage of school vouchers, and anything else it will take to make our public schools better. Alot of our moral and cultural problems started when prayer and moral teachings were removed from public schools. We must do all we can to give our children the education ourselves and our parents got.

These are just a few of the principles I feel are necessary to be a true conservative. Our country is at a point in history, where it is going to take good strong conservatives to save our Republic. Will you join me in STANDING UP for what is moral and right. I would like to hear from you, in adding any new or old principles we should follow.
